About Us
Meet our Director
With more than ten years of experience at Immigration New Zealand (INZ), our Director and Licensed Immigration Adviser, Ana Hifo, brings extensive knowledge and leadership experience across visa processing, immigration operations and client service. Her career has been shaped by strong analytical ability, integrity and a genuine commitment to helping people navigate complex immigration matters.
Ana began her INZ career in 2014 as a Documentation Officer, where she developed a strong foundation in administrative processes and visa application support. In 2017, she became an Immigration Officer specialising in Essential Skills Work Visas and was recognised for her accuracy, efficiency and sound decision-making.
Her technical expertise later led to her appointment as a Technical Adviser. In this role, Ana provided guidance on complex immigration matters, delivered training and supported Immigration Officer teams to maintain quality and consistency in their decision-making.
In 2021, Ana was appointed Immigration Manager. Over the following three years, she led and mentored more than 40 Immigration Officers, strengthened team performance and supported improvements in service delivery. Throughout her INZ career, Ana received several leadership and excellence awards in recognition of her professionalism, client focus and values-driven leadership.

About Us
Ana migrated to New Zealand with her family in the early 1990s, and like many migrant families, the journey was challenging. Seeing her parents navigate the immigration system and experience uncertainty and hardship shaped her understanding of how deeply immigration decisions affect families and communities.
This experience motivated Ana to pursue studies in high school and university which focused on society and people, which eventually led to a career working within immigration itself. Drawing on both her lived experience and professional background, Ana now supports families through the immigration process with care and integrity.
Having experienced the immigration system personally, worked within it, and now supporting others through it, Ana brings a well rounded and practical understanding to her work. She is committed to ensuring migrants receive clear, honest guidance and are treated fairly throughout the immigration process, particularly those who may be vulnerable or at risk of being taken advantage of.
Ana is focused on providing honest and practical advice so families can move forward with confidence and clarity.
